The new education spaces in the lower levels of the University Building project building give further capacity in the basement of City Univerity of Londons’ Drysdale Building. The new educational space provides a substantial number of lecture theatres and seminar rooms that will accommodate a busy teaching programme aimed to stimulate and engage students in a collaborative learning environment. Burrell Foley Fischer were the architects to the Contractor, Knight Harwood, for the refurbishment of the Grandstand at Lords, based on a design intent by Populous Architects. The project involved the refurbishment of their main bar and catering facilities, including the ECB Box and the Father Time Bar and was again completed in time for the first Test Match in the spring of 2015.

In December 2015 Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners moved into level 14 of the Leadenhall Building, which the practice itself designed. RSHP gave careful thought to how to light their offices, and opted for a human-centric system that changes colour and intensity in accordance with outside conditions. And to deliver this innovative tuneable lighting method, the practice selected Iris, designed by Spectral.
