Day 5 – Shrewsbury to Preston

it was fantastic to be seen off this morning by nine other than Moo Bears himself.

As one of our nominated charities, Oliver, nick named ‘Moo Bears’ lifted our morale massively with his cheeky smiles. Joining his father, Scott Callis of LED Lighting Solutions limited was Eve Gaut of Parrot PR + Marketing and Liz Peck of LPA Lighting. Great to see them and we are so grateful for them taking their time to see us off in the drizzle.

Eve has been an incredible support for Simon and I in promoting the ride and getting interest in sponsorship. Liz is a gem for being Corporate sponsor and to our surprise presented us with a cheque for the full corporate sponsorship from The Lighitng Industry Association. Massive thanks to them for this very kind donation. This takes us to nearly 23k!

The days ride was a relatively easy one covering 85 miles on flatish roads. We rode through Cheshire into Lancashire and stopped for the obligatory county sign photo. We were not expecting the monsoon that greeted us south of Preston, however!

Another long day in the saddle tomorrow to get us all the way to Carlisle.
